University of Queensland Cycle Club is proud to be co-hosting Round 2 of the QLD ITT Series on Sunday 26th May with AusCycling QLD. The course was well received last year so we are heading back out to Laidley again, Charles Coin / Mardi Bartlett on the Saturday and the ITT on the Sunday.
Ian Boyle the brainchild of the Pairs TT which will be unique to the Uni Round.
All Podiums will receive an award however, they are inspired by the Round 1 CX Awards which included Fruit Loops, SPAM and Herrings.

Battle of Arses went down to the wire. We tend to do very well in the higher grades, we haven't traditionally had the numbers in the lower grades. Our ladies across the board did very well, our A & B Grade Men consistently strong, C Grade men I would say need a little more organisation.
Which left us with the D Grade Men, a category we don't usually have any representation. Clayton was leading but a mechanical led to an early start to the CX Race and HWCC picked up 1st to 4th and the win. Our trackies came to make up some D Grade numbers, they did that very well.
Actual results to follow, great morning, beautiful day, brilliant racing and some wonderful banter. Well done UQ, congratulations HWCC!

Congratulations to the Uni riders
We had out first meeting of the new Executive and Committee last week and it was decided to start the process of upgrading the Club kit design and consideration of the best supplier to manufacture it.
This process doesn't exclude our current supplier. Consideration of the best supplier for the club will include but not limited to kit quality, range, lead time, service, sizing, cost, delivery, ethical manufacturing, relationship to the Club, Junior sizing and so on.
We'd like to include a new Track skinsuit in consultation with our Track Committee and a Junior specific variation that's a bit more fun and appealing to the youngsters.
Best of luck to the QLD State Track Team competing at the 2024 AusCycling Track National Championship starting today.
Especially our UQCC riders Brycen Fletcher, Josh Hak, Maddison Taylor and Courtney McGowen. Team Manager Bear Liang and Head Mechanic Shayne Hendren.
